Laurent Milton.
Laurent Milton (he/him) is a set designer and printmaker working across sculpture, installation, drawing and print-based media. His practice foregrounds labour and materiality, drawing attention to the physical processes of making and the ways in which surfaces record time, touch and repetition.
Informed by his experience in set design, Milton is particularly interested in how images and objects shape spatial experience. He often works with tactile, immersive compositions that encourage viewers to become aware of their own movement through a space, positioning narrative as something built through material encounter rather than linear storytelling. Across his practice, Milton returns to questions of construction, support and framework, using the language of the studio, workshop and stage to consider how environments are made, held and experienced.
