Maria Hill.
Maria Hill is an Australian-born artist of Argentinian heritage whose mixed media practice engages themes of translation, duality and embodiment. Currently completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Photography) at the Queensland College of Art and Design (graduating 2025), they are interested in the relationship between the page spread and the gallery wall as parallel sites of communication and display.
Hill has been recognised with the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence and the Outstanding Achievement in Major Award for Photography (2025). Their work has been presented in the Undergrowth Invitational Exhibition (2024), and they have been a finalist in the BMG Portrait Prize (2025) and shortlisted for the Iain Turnbull Memorial Award (2025).
