Working closely with the Turnbull Family and Cobalt Editions, Iain Turnbull: Lines of Intersection brings together works by the late Iain Turnbull, tracing the enduring impact of his practice and a legacy that continues to unfold through the Turnbull Award, supporting artists who engage with print in their practice.
Rather than a retrospective, the exhibition traces a lineage of ideas — a shared commitment to process, material intelligence, and the quiet rigour of working through the printed line. Turnbull’s legacy is felt not only in the works he made, but in the ways of thinking he set in motion across the QCAD print studios and through artists who have received the Turnbull Award, continuing to extend the field of contemporary print practice.
Presented in support of the Iain Turnbull Print Award, the exhibition includes works by Turnbull, with the sale of selected works contributing to the award’s ongoing legacy.
